Bought it in a 9 M, and it fits like a dream. The heel doesn't slide and the foot feels very secure and nestled. I love the adjustable buckles along the side, it will allow for a tighter fit with skirts yet a wider opening for tucked in pants. These buckles would accommodate a pretty wide range of calves without gaping. As a reference my calf is about 15" around, it will easily work with up to 16.5" calves.The leather quality of this boot is stunning. I am not a fan of cowboy style boots but consider these a very classic equestrian style. A winner all around! Finally, I would encourage any buyer to shop around, it can be bought at a substantial discount with a bit of searching. Comfortable right away. No breaking in required. Ordered my usual size but fit a half size big even though I have wide feet. Will be able to correct with thin insoles and thick socks. I have 16" wide calves but the adjustable straps will allow me to wear these with jeans tucked in. With bare legs or thin pants I can buckle straps up to the smallest hole and still have room to spare.Never heard of Lucchese before but now I'm a fan. Extremely well-made and will only look better with time. Like them so much, considering getting the black but half a size down. But knowing the quality behind Lucchese and the deep discount I got, it was hard to turn the purchase down. I also have a pair of these boots in black of which I paid full price for and just love. So when I received my used boots, they were surprisingly like new except for the slightly wrinkled leather around the ankles. Nevertheless, I love em' and am extremely happy with my purchase! |
